Verena Pfeifer is a trained Biomedical Scientist who has been working in the field of Immunology research since 2011 in the group of Thomas R. Pieber. Verena started at CBmed in 2015 in the Flow Cytometry laboratory and worked her way to a team lead. Ultimately, in March 2022, Verena took over the responsibility as a laboratory director for the CBmed laboratories at the Graz HQ and ZWT location. As a lab director, Verena is guiding a multidisciplinary team of lab technicians overseeing the performance of laboratory processes as well as ensuring personnel qualifications.

Additionally, Verena reached a MSc in Psychology from the University of Graz in 2022 and added valuable expertise in statistics and research methods to her work at CBmed. She is passionate about immunology research and combining her various expertise for CBmed.

In her free time, Verena enjoys spending time with her dog by hiking the Austrian mountains as well as photography.
