Laurin Herbstofer is a physicist who has been working as a Data Scientist at CBmed since 2018. He is responsible for the IT and Data Strategy and coordinates the Data Science and IT teams to drive innovation. Laurin earned his MSc in theoretical and computational physics from the University of Graz and completed his PhD from the Medical University of Graz, where he explored cutting-edge data representations for histologic images and their application in machine learning. He appreciates simplicity but isn’t afraid to tackle complexity when it counts. Laurin thrives as a generalist, enjoying the challenge of making things work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment. He enjoys spending time with his two kids, playing guitar and keeping up-to-date with space travel news.
